But we need your help, and with your help, we can be there - in the local communities and on the phone.

We want to help individuals with a brighter future and the support they need.

PROJECT 2023-2028

RESILENCE - BUILDING BETTER OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG AND MATURE ADULTS

Our project Resilience aims to build stronger connections across communities and strengthen these
connections by developing the conditions needed to build a better version of yourself and longer
lasting ways of bringing people together.

Functional Skills Education Centre Non for Profit is a training and recruitment – community centre Hub, we want to
focus our project on migrants, immigrants, and individuals from deprived backgrounds, who needs
up skilling, confidence boost and self-esteem. Our aim is to help these individuals gain educational
certificates that can help them to gain employment, we want to ensure this has a long-term
engagement.

Our aim is to provide individuals who feel less confident at attaining jobs and help them get
qualified, have certificate, and help them attain employment. We want to give them long term
relationships so if they need further support and guidance we can help build on their skills and get
them back into employment.

Giving these individuals training and education skills will help build their confidence, increase self-
esteem and getting them back into work or full-time education will reduce isolation. We have
classroom and training room based with options for online learning, to teach new skills for
individuals. The overall project will provide educational stability, including one to one support
employability workshops, career guidance, and English language courses to immigrants to the UK.

The project aims to help individuals realise their full potential by achieving what they need to
become eligible and qualified to work in the UK also achieve greater economic stability. We aim to
help immigrants as well as our local communities with families from disadvantage backgrounds. We
would like to help give back to our economics and build those individuals in need.
Our service will help achieve outcomes such as improve wellbeing, independence, improving skillsets
and getting back into employment. Once our course has been completed and individuals have
qualified, work placements will be provided, and we will support them long term.
The grant will cover the development of the project plan including development of monitoring tools,
branding and professional advice on state aid.

The funding will be used to develop a project
supporting people who are unemployed, disadvantaged and most at risk of social exclusions,
including ex-offenders, adults with learning difficulties, mental & physical illness and those who are
homeless or vulnerably housed. The funding will be used over period of 5 years to help build social
skills, to help improve aspirations to look for employment whilst giving basic key skills education to
help build individuals confidence and to help them be more equipped for their trip to employment.

This project will support individuals’ mental wellbeing, transitioning them back into face-to-face
learning/ employment, and those individuals whose lives was affected by social isolation and the job
losses. Each year we will have events, show casing of what individuals have learnt and achieved by
being a part of our organisation, we will continue giving them long term support.

The funding will be used to help develop our organisation including course content that provides
targeted support to address the complex barriers these group face in seeking and obtaining
employment. We want to provide a flexible package of integrated support to all those in need. We
will offer support to those from different countries including our most recent refugees from Ukraine,
to help get the English language support they need and build back their confidence as they have
suffered mentally, and many lifestyles destroyed. We want to help them to restore their lives here in
the UK by giving them the tools they need to start a new life and get into employment.

Please help make this project possible to help make positive impacts to individuals lives and help with the economy growth.

Changing Lives- Lives Matters

Functional Skills Education Centre Non for Profit Hub is about building opportunities for individuals from deprived backgrounds, refugees and migrants to give them a chance of a better start in life.

Education is a route out of poverty for many individuals, which is why we focus on helping those from less fortunate background, immigrants and migrants to have a chance to build and rebuild themselves.

These individuals will gain recognised qualifications, that will help them obtain jobs and help make a better future for themselves.

Attending FSEC Non for Profit Hub our students will be taking the first step to changing their lives, we want to make sure our students from deprived backgrounds are catered for.

  • We provide them with a chance to learn career oriented educational programs,
  • We provide them with travel cost to attend, so they do not miss out, due to not having enough money to travel back and forth,
  • We provide them with a hot boxed meal and drink which is delivered to our facility for them to eat, as it can be expensive for some to enjoy a hot meal.
  • Upon course completion we provide our students with the opportunity to join a Recruitment Centre to start earning an income.
  • We provide ongoing support for our students during their studies with us and also after.

FSEC Non for Profit Hub has a passion to help those less fortunate to be fortunate, giving them opportunities to build themselves, confidence, self-esteem and making a better life for themselves within their communities.
